Welcome
Thank you for looking at The Butterfly Appeal website. We hope that this will give you more information about who we are and what we are trying to achieve. Over the following pages, you can find out what we have done so far, along with what we are looking to do in the near future. On the "Who we are" page, you can find the names of the key Trustees of the Charity, who all work for free giveing their time to make The Butterfly Appeal the success it has become. Also, you can find out about up-coming events and also we will be publishing some pictures from previous events that we have done - this all takes some time as everyone who works for The Butterfly Appeal does so on a voluntary basis - so please bear with us whilst the site is built and constantly updated! The contact us page will allow you to email us any questions or comments you have - and we will answer you as soon as we can! Thanks for looking once again - and hope we will see you soon at one of our events! The Epsom & Ewell Palliative Care Fund (known as The Butterfly Appeal) is registered with The Charities Commision, our Charity Number is 1043038. By logging onto The Commision's website, you can find out all the information they hold regarding us.As of June 29th 2010, following a meeting of the Trustees and communication between The Butterfly Appeal and the Charities Comission, there has been a change of name and an addition to the Trustees. We are very pleased to welcome to the Trustees Dr. Lydia Jones, who works in the Macmilland Butterfly Centre as a consultant, she has worked tirelessly to assist and support The Butterfly Appeal and we are very happy she accepted our invitation. Nancy Richmond has also become a Trustee, following the death of her husband, and founder of the Charity, Roy Richmond MBE.In addition to this, The Epsom and Ewell Palliative Care Trust has now been re-named The Mid Surrey Palliative Care Trust Fund (The Butterfly Appeal remains unaltered). This change allows us more scope in where we can help, so if necessary we can raise money and awareness to other areas of Surrey without breaching our Charities Deed. If you would like to donate to us, there are several ways. Use the "Contact Us" page to send a message about where to post your donation to, or visit the "News" page for information on how to donate by text message. |
